On Thursday Deb had us all down to her house for lunch. She had her table set so pretty. She used her red/white transfer ware and her pewter chargers with a tulip center piece.
After lunch we went out to Clinton. Only hit The Hen and Corner. Sandi picked up her high boy at the Painter Lady, a new shop that sells all painted stuff. This is the second highboy she has bought from them. It was supper time when we got home and we were all sort of wound down.lol. After a light supper of lasagna and garlic biscuits we sat around and talked and laughed. Enjoyed looking at magazines and books and just "being." We did go to bed earlier that night.lol On Friday we were sitting here drinking coffee and the phone rang. It was my very special friends Holly of Holly's Hobbies and Darbee Days and Angela,Thru Nana's Window. They were in Pigeon Forge for the weekend and were heading to Clinton. They wanted to stop by and see us. I was thrilled to see them. Darbee Rae is one of my very favorite children. She is a precious little girl, dressed like a princess and such a sweet spirit. I have loved her since the first time I met her. Holly and Angela are so much like Deb, Amanda, and me, that we have clicked from the get go. We have met before and just feel like "family." They had Mr P and Stacy with them so now we have met the whole family.
Friday we stayed home all day and I made two pots of soup. We were having the local girls up Friday night to see Sandi and Nicole.(Cindi and Lisa live almost an hour away)We all met on the Primitive Pantry forum and formed a close relationship. Cindi and Linda I met through the Hen. Anyway we had a good visit. A lot of laughing and decorating. Lisa brought dessert and Cindi brought cornbread and a cake.
I wanted to serve in the pewter but couldn't get any volunteers to help wash it!lol We decided dishwasher bowls would be best.lol
Dasko of course thought it was him they had come to see.
After they left yesterday you can only imagine how quiet it was Through My Back Door where life is good.

PS: Yesterday was Amanda's birthday. Deb and Michael fixed rib eyes, baked potato, and salad. We had a wonderful heart shaped strawberry cake for dessert. Yummy. Curt and Lindsey were home and had brought the sweetest couple with them. Grant and Emilee. We want to adopt them.lol Happy birthday Amanda. What a difference a year makes.
PSS: I am getting excited about my trip coming up to Williamsburg with Dodd and Renda. Hopefully I will come home ready to decorate.lol
PSSS: I have had some activity on the house. I have decided if it doesn't sell by the contracts end, God wants me to stay put and I have some fabulous ideas to implement. The girls this weekend all agree, lol

Ms Betty you are the hostess with the mostest.. YOu definitley have the gift of hospitality.. We have decided to sell our house and have already put a bid in and been approved for a loan on a new one....things change so fast. It sounds as if you may be staying right where you are...your home is beautiful...Praying blessings for you and your home.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you were able to get together with so many friends!! It sounds like a fabulous time...... Good to hear that you are geting some action on the house, but that you are also okay with staying if that is what is meant to be... Your home is so beautiful, and I know you would have fun with the new ideas you have for it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Amanda! Glad she had a happy day! I love Williamsburg, and haven't been in many, many years. The last time we were there my husband and I went as chaperones for our youngest daughter's school trip.... You can imagine that we didn't get to do much else but keep a keen eye on those teenagers! Enjoy!

I am so happy we called you and came by to visit. I really enjoyed our visit and Darbee Rae did too. Although she was scared of Dasko, she has talked about him so much since our visit. I don't think it would take her too long and she would love him. He is so friendly! Your home is beautiful and you are such a special friend. So glad Amanda had a great birthday. Have a good evening!
