Good morning everyone and it is so nice to have you stop by for coffee. I hope you will have a cup and come sit and visit. Last week it was like Grand Central Station here on Friday, but today promises to be very quiet. I love company. I really do, so it was just a perfect day for me to have so many people come Through My Back Door. It is rainy here today and cool. Going to be a good day for thinking about spring. I know it will be here, it always comes and that makes so many people happy for so many different reasons. Here, I have put out all the spring I am going to. With the house on the market, everything has to be done to a minimum. Anyway I will share a few pictures of my spring. I need some ideas for the table as I haven't done anything with it yet.
If you came through my front door, this is what you would see.
I put spring in my door box. Have I told you how much I love this thin door box? It is perfect for my door. (You can get them at the Speckled Hen, in Clinton, Tn.)
Added this to the mantle. That is a Deb Peterson pin keep.I love pin keeps.
I really like my red ware eggs in my cupboard with my redware. Again the Hen.
Again the Hen. I am really into the blackened wax bunnies and eggs.
Hope you felt a little "springy" after visiting today. I am anxious to visit you and see what you are putting on your table.
I want to share with you all my dream house. If it happens to be someone you know I'd like to know it. It was sent to me by Sandi and I have no idea where she found it. BUT, if my house doesn't sell, the porch is coming off and this is the look I want. It could be done very easily.(Well my boys may not think so easily)lol
Don't you love this look? Again if you know who this belongs to I would love to know.
I am so happy you chose to come Through My Back Door where life is good.

PS:Please continue to remember Tamra is your prayers as she starts her chemo. Also my friends Grace and Hubert who are also fighting cancer. I love the fact we have prayers in blogland.
PSS:Some of our own bloggers are having a hard time right now, so please remember them also.
PSSS: Don't you love my header and background?I am not bragging because I can take no credit. My blog fairy struck again. I must say, it makes me happy just to look at it.

Time flies When You Are Having Fun
Good morning everyone, hurry in out of the cold. Got down to about 22 last night. Get your coffee, sit down, and let me share my wonderful week. On Wednesday Sandi and Nicole came.Sandi is from Grassy Meadows, W. Va, and Nicole from Bunker Hill, W. Va. The minute they walked in the door, the laughter began. We had such fun talking and catching up. Sandi had been here last month, but I hadn't seen Nicole since the TPP gathering last August. We had a lot of catching up to do. We got them situated and ate supper. We sat up until well after midnight chatting.
On Thursday Deb had us all down to her house for lunch. She had her table set so pretty. She used her red/white transfer ware and her pewter chargers with a tulip center piece.
After lunch we went out to Clinton. Only hit The Hen and Corner. Sandi picked up her high boy at the Painter Lady, a new shop that sells all painted stuff. This is the second highboy she has bought from them. It was supper time when we got home and we were all sort of wound down.lol. After a light supper of lasagna and garlic biscuits we sat around and talked and laughed. Enjoyed looking at magazines and books and just "being." We did go to bed earlier that night.lol On Friday we were sitting here drinking coffee and the phone rang. It was my very special friends Holly of Holly's Hobbies and Darbee Days and Angela,Thru Nana's Window. They were in Pigeon Forge for the weekend and were heading to Clinton. They wanted to stop by and see us. I was thrilled to see them. Darbee Rae is one of my very favorite children. She is a precious little girl, dressed like a princess and such a sweet spirit. I have loved her since the first time I met her. Holly and Angela are so much like Deb, Amanda, and me, that we have clicked from the get go. We have met before and just feel like "family." They had Mr P and Stacy with them so now we have met the whole family.
I was so happy they came to visit. I saw on FB where it snowed at their cabin yesterday and I was so happy for them.
Friday we stayed home all day and I made two pots of soup. We were having the local girls up Friday night to see Sandi and Nicole.(Cindi and Lisa live almost an hour away)We all met on the Primitive Pantry forum and formed a close relationship. Cindi and Linda I met through the Hen. Anyway we had a good visit. A lot of laughing and decorating. Lisa brought dessert and Cindi brought cornbread and a cake.
I wanted to serve in the pewter but couldn't get any volunteers to help wash it!lol We decided dishwasher bowls would be best.lol
Dasko of course thought it was him they had come to see.
After they left yesterday you can only imagine how quiet it was Through My Back Door where life is good.

PS: Yesterday was Amanda's birthday. Deb and Michael fixed rib eyes, baked potato, and salad. We had a wonderful heart shaped strawberry cake for dessert. Yummy. Curt and Lindsey were home and had brought the sweetest couple with them. Grant and Emilee. We want to adopt them.lol Happy birthday Amanda. What a difference a year makes.
PSS: I am getting excited about my trip coming up to Williamsburg with Dodd and Renda. Hopefully I will come home ready to decorate.lol
PSSS: I have had some activity on the house. I have decided if it doesn't sell by the contracts end, God wants me to stay put and I have some fabulous ideas to implement. The girls this weekend all agree, lol

Day 14,Whole Lotta Love, Speckled Hen
Today is the last day of Cindi's Whole Lotta Love. It has been 14 days of thinking about things I love. As I stated first post I love so many people and things it is hard to narrow it down.I have hit on some people and things this last two weeks, but I thought I would end it with my favorite prim shop, the Speckled Hen. It is the best prim shop.
This was before she opened and there are no signs.
This is some of the interior. If you are in Clinton, Tn, drop by my favorite prim shop and tell them I sent you. You won't be disappointed. These are old pictures and she has some beautiful new spring things.
Thank you for coming Through My Back Door where life is good and there is a Whole Lotta Love.
betty
PS: My company is here and we stayed up really late last night talking and laughing. Tomorrow night a group of friends are coming for supper and to visit. Should be fun

Day 13, Whole Lotta Love for Blogland
This is next to the last day for Cindi's Whole Lotta Love. I love so many people and so many things it has been hard to choose fourteen to blog about. As I was making our coffee I was thinking what can todays post be about and it hit me. People I have met through blogging. So grab yourself a cup of coffee,(I have quit waiting on you, as I don't consider you a guest any more) and let me share some of the people I have met in blogland. I have been so blessed to meet so many people. I never in my wildest dreams expected any of the wonderful people I would meet blogging. Bloggers are generous with their time, their talents, and their prayers. So many bloggers do RAK's, something I have never done, as I don't create, but they are always doing swaps and just anything to make people smile. I have received so many wonderful things from bloggers. I won a couple of give aways and received some wonderful RAK's. You have all met Mother, from Marchal over at the blog, (which he doesn't often update,)hmmm,
I was so surprised to get this and I treasure it.I was blessed to meet Sue Beck,Primsue's Heart and Home.
Angela and Holly have become wonderful friends.(No pictures) Thru Nana's Window and HollysHolly's Hobbies and Darbee Days.
I have been blessed to meet Tammy, Country Girl at Home.
This is my friend Sharon, the Speckled Hen and Joy, Tammy's daughter who also has a blog you can link onto on Tammys.
Libby from Rusty Shed Prims, has become a good friend. We have met more than once.
Pam and Frank of Civil Folk.(I can't get the link to come up)
They have visited me and blessed me with some wonderful gifts.
Those are some I have met. I have become friends with so many more. Dawn and I are planning on meeting this spring. We have prayed together and for one anothers family and friends. We have laughed together and commiserated together. So today I have a Whole Lotta Love for our fellow bloggers and what I have learned from each of you. You have added another dimension to my life.
Thank you for allowing me into your lives and for Coming Through My Back Door where life is good and there is Whole LOtta Love.
betty
PS:My company comes today
PSS: I cannot do this post w/o mentioning the great friends I have met on forums. My blog fairy and not to mention a group who quickly become close friends and who have visited in my home and I in theirs.

More Boxes, Day 12, Whole Lotta Love
Well good morning and come on in. Help yourself to the coffee and we will just sit and visit for a bit. I told you yesterday I love boxes, so here are a few more to share.
That is enough for today, don't you think? I tell you I probably need to join boxes anonymous. They just intrigue me, for some reason.I will share more another day. I am so happy you came Through My Back Door where life is good and there is a Whole Lotta Love.

PS: The house is being shown this evening. Would you say a prayer that if it is Gods will it will be the right people?
PSS: Tomorrow Amanda goes back to the oncologist. Would you say a prayer for her, as well as all the others who need and desire our prayers right now. Thanks so much.
PSSS: My company comes tomorrow and Friday night several of the girls are coming for a visit. We are so excited. Do you think there will be any laughing?

Boxes, Whole Lotta Love, Day 11
Day 11, already. We sure have shared a Whole Lotta Love the last few days. It has been fun and not hard as there are so many things I love. Well I have this love of old boxes. Especially cultery boxes. So today while you have a cup of Kona(I like to switch it out) I'll share a few of the boxes I love.
One of my very favorites from an Ohio estate.
My spice and knife box I found on the worlds longest yard sale.
Well that is a few, this post will be continued tomorrow. See, I told you I love boxes! Some of my friends just shake their heads, but I know you all "get" it!lol I am so glad you came Through My Back Door where life is good and there is a Whole Lotta Love.

PS: It is rainy here today but I won't complain. Still concerned for my NE friends.
PSS:I am getting more excited about my company coming. Don't you love having friends visit?
PSSS:This week is Valentine. We associate it with love. Tell those around you, that you love them and if you would, reconnect with an old friend or someone you haven't seen in a while. If there is someone who you feel has touched your life in a positive way, let them know. Life is short eat dessert first.
