Lots of Nothing, But A Little of Something

Good Monday morning. Why do I always feel I should be doing laundry on Monday, although I seldom do. My Mother and Grandmother were so scheduled, and I am the opposite and literally fly by the seat of my pants sometimes. I may do a load of clothes at 9:00 pm. Oh well, come in and have some coffee. We are back in the Bunn today. My keurig is giving me fits! I watched the video, cleaned it just like it showed, it worked great for one day. This morning, stopped up again. I cleaned it just like the video said, nothing. Did it again. Nothing. So I got out the Bunn. The coffee is DD, freshly ground beans. When I got the Keurig I bought bean coffee so it would be fresh when I had groups of friends and not do the one cup at a time. Is anyone else having a problem with their Keurig? Oh well, I love it, but only when it works. Right now we have a love-hate relationship.
Not much decorating going on here. I decided Saturday evening about 7:30,(I was doing nothing else) that I would move my living room around. This red sofa is so big.
I decided I would move it over where the two chairs are. One is the leather recliner. I had a camel back sofa over there and liked it. WELL, I moved the chairs out of the way, moved the sofa, the HEAVY blanket chest behind it.
This thing is loaded with Christmas Decorations and is so heavy! Anyway, I moved it behind the sofa on the new side. Placed the two chairs and a table where the sofa was.
Do you know the rest of the story? I know you do, because I bet every one of you have done the same thing! I moved it all back! Dasko thought I had lost my mind and he was thinking he might just go back to Doggy Camp! How many of you have done this? Once I had cleaned under everything, dusted, and had it back in place I was happy.
I am ready and have been trying to simplify. Sharon has a sign in her shop that says Simplify. Then she has all of the wonderful things for you to buy!
I did do a bit of changing and showed you last week. Here is a bit I didn't share.
Love this old basket with the cotton. I know, I know bows are passe', but I still love a few here and there!
I have been a member of my church for about 40 years. Yesterday during the Lords Supper, I was watching as the deacons were serving. I saw a father and son, I saw a son of a deceased "saint" and the grandson of another serving. It made my heart swell with pride to belong to a church where generations attend.(Sadly all of my children live too far away to attend this church) The grandson that was serving, made me especially proud, because his grandmother,(a saint) was one person who made a difference in my life and my relationship,(from my side of it) with my late mother in law. I knew she must be beaming in Heaven, knowing what a fine young man Chip has become. Are there saints in your life that has helped you become a better person? If they are gone, but their family is still here, tell them.
Well I had better get busy doing something. Two of my friends and I have decided we better start walking again. I have to admit I felt good doing so much walking in Disney. We are starting today, so I gotta get a move on.
Thanks for coming Through My Back Door where life is good.

PS: My friend Sandi, Daybreak Place is still without power. Can you believe it? 10 days now! They are worn out keeping generators going at two places. Please Remember them in your prayers. I know they are not the only ones.
PSS: LInda Rudman, Behind My Red Door lost her father this weekend. Remember Linda and her family in your prayers too.
PSSS:I am excited. Dodd is coming to spend the day Thursday and WORK! There are some things that need doing and he is giving me the day. Can you tell how happy I am? The house is still on the market with no serious bites, but several inquiries. I am praying it sells soon. I know God has a plan He will reveal when He is ready. Sure wish He would let me know.lol

  2. I've never had the keuring coffee maker but had the other one that takes pods. Our water was clogging it so I switched to spring water and it worked fine.I'm not much on the pods so switched back to the regular pot...Yes we all do it rearrange the whole room just to realize we liked it just the way it was.(there's a reason it's arranged that way we just forget..smile..) Enjoy your walks with the girls.Warm Blessings!~Amy

  3. Well, look at it this way. At least you got your exercise in for the day!

I have been doing some rearranging at the studio. It is nice to change things around every once in a while. Right?

  4. Oh my! You MUST be related to my mother. Hehe...once when my dad was out of town for work, we were staying up extremely too late and she got this bright idea to change around. We did and at 2:30 in the morning, when we were FINALLY done, she decided to move it all back. Ummm.....crazy! We still giggle about it now though. What a funny memory we made. Hope you get your coffee machine figured out soon. Enjoy your walking! Have a wonderful day.

  6. Hi Betty! I do not have a Keuring, but I work at the service desk a Kohls and see A LOT of them being returned for that reason...I use my free Gevalia and love it. ;)
I do the same thing. I TRY to leave my tweaking for a day to get used to it but sometimes end up moving everything back. Hey, at least you got it all clean!

  10. Thank you for the prayers my friend! They are much appreciated!

I had that problem with my Keurig and left the vinegar in the machine overnight before using clean water and that did the trick... Along with one swift whack to the top! I hope you get it started again!! hugs!!

  11. Hi, Iknow about the moving part. It usually is my husband. I can't do any heavy lifting and moving, because of an operation I had a few years ago. My husband is such a big help.
It's nice to hear you have such wonderful people at church !!
I hope all the ladies in the heat will get cooler weather soon.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friends father. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

  14. Morning Friend
I too had problems with my small Keurig. So did my friend.
I bought the big one and I have had no problems.
Shame so many have. Love my coffee.
Love your sharing about the saints. I miss my sweet one, what love she shared with me and so many.
    Oh the seeds she planted.
Love & Joy to you Friend

  15. I finally read your coffee story!!! If my coffee maker decided not to work..I'd probably die. Your laughing aren't you??? I'm serious..death, most certainly!! I never quite "got" the Keurig. Only because I can not just have one cup of coffee! I'm guessing there's more to it than that though! I have not changed my furiture around yet in the new house...however my new six year old was informing me of what "we" could do with the furniture in the livingroom today. "Mom we should put the big couch where the little one is, the little one by the window..and and and...." Yes son...ugh! Lol.

  16. It's ok, Betty. I don't drink coffee anyway! :) I just love to smell it though!

I was laughing because I know how many times I've done the same thing. Fortunately, my family is patient with me. Move it all around only to move it back the way it was in the first place. But we never know until we try, right?

And you really gave me a laugh because of the Simply sign but lots of wonderful stuff to buy. I tell you that I would be in trouble with a store like Sharon's and especially if I helped out and worked there! I say simplify means if you bring something new in, just find something to go out (even if it's small). :) Well, that's sort of simpifying, isn't it?

    Have a great evening!

  17. Oops...that was supposed to say simplify, not simply. My fingers get ahead of my brain and do their own thing sometimes. :)
