It is Saturday morning and the coffee is so good, grab a cup and come sit down. Guess what? There is "THAT" cake again. I haven't eaten it all.lol Deb and Dodd came up this week and they had some too. There is a lot left.lol I am happy to see you this morning. It always makes me happy for you to stop by. It is so nice to read your comments and opinions. When you take time to do that, I truly feel we have had a visit.
It has been so warm here this week, until yesterday afternoon and today. I put out some spring things and they "put" a "spring" in my step. Something about decorating for the seasons. All of us"prim" people know that. It just occurred to me what a difference the word "prim" means to us decorators. (The exact opposite of prim and proper.)We do love our prims and we are growing more popular in the decorating world.Do you agree?
Remember the Christmas mouse who bullied me into leaving him out of the blanket chest? If you remember he was seen with valentines? Well this is what I caught him doing this past week! Impersonating the EASTER BUNNY! He even had an antique Easter card. He certainly is a clever little mouse and is currently causing havoc in this household!
Any way I did do a little more tweaking and will leave it for a while.
My table. It will change again closer to spring.
I love old boxes and have a hard time displaying them.
I am so glad you came to visit this morning. What a good but happy way to start the weekend, Through My Back Door, where life is good.

PS: I want to give a shout out to Donna Gilreath, from Georgia, who came in the Hen yesterday and recognized me from here. Thanks Donna, and I look forward to seeing you again.
PSS: Amanda's second, non harsh, chemo went MUCH better Wednesday. Isn't it amazing what increased prayer can do? Thank you so much. We have only two more. Only. WOW
What a nice visit this morning! We had temps near 70 for a day or two & then yesterday it was like Antartica! Cool weather today but it will be warming up again by the end of the weekend. Blah! Enjoyed seeing your decor! So glad Amanda's "non harsh" chemo was a better experience for her. Blessings, Shirlee
ReplyDeleteGood morning Betty, I see you have a jump start on spring decorating. I am so looking forward to warmer weather even though this winter has been a mild one. I love your wood boxes. I like them too but sometimes have trouble displaying them.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear that you met another blog friend.
Small world isn't it?
Have a great Saturday.

Glad Amanda's treatment went better. My dad's seemed less harsh the second time around. Not sure if your body adjust a little to it or yes it could be prayer..smile..Love your little touches.Warm Blessings!~Amy
ReplyDeleteBetty, First-I'm really glad Amanda did better with her second treatment. She will be in my prayers every day with my Brian. She is a BEAUTIFUL girl! I am also a fan of boxes--My husband shakes his head every time I buy one because I have so many. I actually buy them to paint and sell, but I never can give them up! The one time I did (a lidded large railroad shipping crate ) I have regretted it. I painted it all the way around with a penny rug on top.I also LOVE your farm table and chairs--the chairs are exactly what I am getting --my current chairs need replacing.Have a wonderful, creative day!!-Jan
ReplyDeleteHello Betty...Greetings from Montana! It's beautiful here this morning..looks like we have a mild day in store for us country folk out here. I love all your wooden boxes filled with Spring displays! And, the persistent little mouse...too cute! I also love old wooden boxes and use them for all kinds of things. So much fun when decorating from the heart! I especially like the pewter tea pot you've filled with tulips... makes me dream of Spring flowers. Looking forward to digging in the damp earth and enjoying the fragrant.. colorful flowers mother nature provides! The promise of rejuvenation & new life is so tantalizing ~
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Amanda's treatments are almost finished! God Bless her and your family and keep you all strong!! Prayer works miracles ~ Thanks so much for the coffee... I enjoyed our visit ~
Take care and enjoy your day ~ Heidi
Good Morning Ms Betty! I am finishing my second cup of coffee as we visit. I am ashamed to say.... I ate cookies for breakfast....lol. I found myself putting out bunnies yesterday too. Old boxes......I love them and yes, I have a hard time deciding how to display them. I love your Easter decor. So happy for Amanda. Yes, Prayer is a powerful thing. Blessings and have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour home is looking beautiful Betty. Love the bunnys. :)
ReplyDeleteStill Praying for Amanda.

Good Morning Betty. I am so happy to hear Amanda's treatment went much better. I know she will be glad when these are over for her. Keeping her and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Loved your pictures of your spring decorations. I too will be adding a few spring touches hopefully this week. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at possibly having a rag quilt made for Seth's bed in our new house. I had found someone on etsy that I really liked the way her's looked. I told her the colors I was looking for..and my style...prim..lol...she didn't know what that was!!! Katie
ReplyDeleteHaha, the mouse cracked me up... that is darling! Such a cute idea. Reminds me of the Christmas elf only this mouse is much more adorable than that scary looking elf, lol!

Great post, glad life is going good there. Great news about Amanda!
ReplyDeleteSo happy that Amanda did better this week. Prayers surely do help.
ReplyDeleteI love coming through your back door into your lovely home for a visit. And even though I don't drink coffee, I always feel welcome in your beautiful home. And... thanks for the piece of cake today.
I think your little mouse/bunny is just too cute and very clever to get to stay out and not packed up with Christmas decorations.
Have a good week dear.... thanks for dropping by to say hello. I always love hearing from you. Hugs, Lura
Nice tweaking Betty. Happy only two left. Boy, what a ride. Thanks for letting us suport you and Amanda. Now, you be careful. Those mice can be very pushy.

Hi Betty: I missed this post somehow, what with getting the new computer and printer and router (whatever that is) set up and the learning the new computer =(
ReplyDeleteLoved the little mouse, masquerading like a bunny (SO cute!) and your collection of boxes! And you do a great job of displaying them! AND, of course the best news is that Amanda is doing better. Those two more will be over in no time and she will start getting back to normal and just to be sure, we are still all praying for her!
