This morning my heart is sad, so I am so glad to have you come Through My Back Door. Of course the coffee is on, and I do want you to come have a cup and visit for a minute. I need your prayers for my beautiful granddaughter Amanda. On Friday she was diagnosed, at the age of 29 with breast cancer. We are all shocked, as there is none in our family. She is a wife, a mother, a daughter, granddaughter, sister, daughter in law, sister in law, niece, and friend to many. she is first and foremost a devout Christian lady with a lot of faith. We as a family all live on faith and believe in miracles. right now we are scared. Scared of the unknown, so we solicit your prayers. We are praying specifically that the cancer has not spread. I thank all of you in advance for your prayers and promise updates on here.
I had company this week that God sent. He knew I needed them before I did. Sandi,Daybreak, and Pam and Frank,civil folks blog, came to visit.
The first picture is Sandi, Pam, and me. The last Pam and Frank. I will post pictures of the beautiful gifts Pam and Frank gave us. They are wonderful people and I KNOW God sent them to be here this particular weekend.
I will post more later, and I never wanted my blog to be doom and gloom. It isn't. I just want everyone who believes in the power of prayer,to pray for my granddaughter. I will leave you with a picture,so you can put a face on who you are praying for.
This is Amanda, Deb, Beth and Mollie.
You all know Andrew!
Thank you for coming Through My Back door on sad days as well as happy ones, because life is good.
betty
PS: To each of you who comes Through My Back Door, thank you.

ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed seeing the photos of your get together. Every one looks as beautiful as I imagined! You home and yard look so wonderfully green too!(short sleeves?!)... Ours is full of snow and snowmen and tree branches (mixed with mums and cornstalks and pumpkins, what a jumbled up sight!) Take care, all.
You know I'm praying for Amanda and for all of you! You are all in my thoughts constantly. Hoping for good news later today.
ReplyDeleteHugs to all!

Either way, God is in control and your faith will be blessed. Praying! BLessings!

Betty, You were on my mind all weekend as I knew you were having guest. Sunday morning in P.J.s sounded like so much fun. Maybe this was another reason why I was thinking of you. I am so sorry to hear about Amanda. She is the same age as my Holly and I can't imagine the pain and concern you and your family are feeling. I need not tell you how great our heavenly Father is, and that He still answers prayers. Amanda, her family and yourself will definitely be in my prayers. God is good and makes no mistakes. We just don't understand sometime. I have to keep reminding myself of these same words so often lately. Sending strength, prayers and a big ole hug your way

I will be saying special prayers & thinking healing thoughts for your sweet grandaughter Amanda. Praying also for you & Deb, the entire family. Sending hugs from across the miles. Sarah
ReplyDeleteBetty: What can I say. I can only imagine how heavy your heart is with this news. Yes, I will pray for Amanda and will ask for prayers for her whole family at a church "Holiday Tea" I am attending this afternoon. We won't ask "Why this happened" but rather "When will she be well?" And she will! I am an over 20-year survivor and have several younger friends who are, too and we have to believe she will be just fine, too.
ReplyDeleteMany {{Hugs}}
