Little Step Stools

Welcome Through My Back Door again. I am really happy you chose to come by on this rainy night. Oh yes the coffee is on. I hope you like Dunkin Donut Hazelnut, because that is what we are having. I enjoy good coffee or a cup of good tea so much. It really makes me happy that you do too. I thought since I had been gone for a while, we would talk about the summer I went stool crazy! It got so bad, that when we would go into an antique store, Deb or Michael would say, "No Stools", lol. They thought I was going to have to attend Stools anonymous, as well as ice cream eaters anonymous, but that's another story, for another time. (I like ice cream as much as I like coffee) Oh well, back to the stools. I bought several little stools over a short period, and had no where to put them. I just loved them. I thought I would share just a few that I thought were extra special.
You might know one would be red. lol
And one would be mustard! Actually this was an old shoe shine box. I really like it.
This one looks a little rough.I think it has been used.
This is an early one. Can you see the dove tailing on the top? I guess it is my favorite, even though I don't use greens.
Another red one! My husband built this one. It is special.
These are a few of my favorite stools. I don't even know why I like them, but I do. I hope you enjoyed them too.
As I was writing this I had a thought.(that could be dangerous). I don't need to join stools nor ice cream eaters anonymous! I'll just invite you over and we will sit on the stools and eat our ice cream! What do you think? Is that a plan?
Thanks for coming Through My Back Door again where life is good.(once again)

  1. Love your stools, Betty! They always catch my eye, too. I especially love the ones with the old paint on them. BTW, I like ice cream, too!

  2. I am a 'stoolie' as well, and DD coffee? Well, here I come through your back door!

    Have a great Sunday!

  3. LOVING your stools! I, too, love a cute stool. I have several. Really like yours. they are very unique! Is there anything you DON"T collect????? LOL! Sure do enjoy your posts! Just LOVE your home!! Can I come for a visit? Just would love to see your home in person!! LOL! Thanks for sharing once again. Having coffee this late is going to keep me up all night looking at your older posts! LOL! Have a great week!

  4. Love the early green one.Warm Blessings!~Amy

  5. What sweet additions to your prim home... I can see why they catch your eye. And ice cream - well let's just say when I married David, two ice cream loving families married - creating ice cream monsters! We don't even do birthday cakes any more - who needs them when we have ice cream!!

  6. Well, I'll let you have the ice cream! LOL! I can't eat it, it doesn't like me. My hubby and sons LOVE it! LOL!
I do love your stools, of course, I love the red one. The green one is beautiful as well. I can see why you like them. They are all great!
I am glad you are back home again!
Renee PS~ I didn't know you were part of The Primitive Pantry! I just saw this and clicked on it! How great is that! Of course, I am a follower now.

  7. I love your stools! I have to say that my favorite is the red one, since that is my favorite color! Great collection...

    Bear Hugs~Karen

  8. So glad I found you today!!!! And so glad that I'm not the only one who loves stools. I don't know what it is. . . they just grab at me. I would have to say that I love the first green one the best --- if I had to pick ONE! Maybe because it's well worn and shabby (like me!)

  9. You have a nice group of stools. I don't know why we get hooked on a certain item, for me it was small chairs, just kept buying them, there everywhere in my house. I think my favorite stool you have is the green dove tail one. I think I will eat my ice cream on that one. Thanks for inviting us in for a visit. Vicky

  10. Betty~ I would love to come over~ sit on the stools & have a bowl of icecream! They are all different and prim~ you have some terrific ones~ I see why you could not resist!
