A Mixed Up Post; Just Like The Weather

Good morning everyone and welcome Through My Back Door. The only way you can get in today is this way. I can't get out, but the coffee is on and you are welcome to some Orange Cranberry muffins. They are quite tasty.
This is the view from my back door.
This is the view from the front. I am ready for some warmer weather just after a week of this. I can't imagine how my New England friends feel. I truly can't.
We had a bad ice storm Monday and below freezing temperatures the rest of the week. I spent the first of the week at Debs. They have gas and had heat if the power went off. We were blessed to keep our power. They brought me home on Friday(my car is still at their house) and I am stranded. Clay has a new FourRunner with four wheel drive and they came got me yesterday afternoon to go eat lunch at Debs. It was awful. He couldn't get up my driveway and my road is still horrible. Anyway enough of the rant.
This morning I have removed all three of my snowmen and put away my favorite picture with snow. I am thinking SPRING!!!! I can't do much until I see if the remodel is going to be started. But I can do living room and bedroom. Remember last week my back door was to be demolished and a new one put in. The weather stopped it. It is going to be fun getting out some of my bunnies. I don't do a lot but love the little bunnies and some of my other spring stuff.
Will change these winter berries to something more springy. I love my little door box.
This will come off and the blue quilt will go on. I am thinking I am going to get a blue and white coverlet for a change. I will use this one in the winter, but for spring and summer, I am thinking of the coverelet. FHW makes a pretty one for summer.
On one of the FB decorating sites I am on, a lady is trying to decide to use a tall table as coffee table. I really like mine. It works for me. I hope she will decide to give it a try. People can be a bit rude sometimes on these sites. However, I find I am on them almost everyday looking and ooohing and aaahing.
Well I just wanted to see if you all are okay and let you know that Spring is coming Through My Back Door where life is good. (Whether the weather cooperates or not)

PS:  Stay warm and I hope Spring is coming where you are too
PSS:Thank you all who have liked my FB page

  1. Wow, Sure wish you could send us some snow Betty. It's beginning to look like we might not get any this winter. However, one of our biggest snows was in March. So still hoping. Mr.P. is thinking Spring also. He is continuing home improvements and shingles for a new roof was delivered this morning. Looks like it might have to wait also but because of rain this week. Luckily our roof does not leak so if it has to wait so be it. New windows should be in next week and be installed soon after. I just love the excitement. Can't wait to see your remodel. Have a safe week.

  3. Well Betty you got the snow while we got all the ice. Thank goodness we were only out of power for a day and compared to the poor people in Monteray, I won't complain about it. I agree that we need spring bunnies, lambs, tulips, ect....to look at and if I can get up to my front door area the snowmen are being banished to the garage. I've had just about enough of cold temps, snow and ice. Can't wait to see the remodeling start for ya. Don't mind if I do steal a muffin on my way out the back door because orange and cranberry is my fave. Stay warm my friend and enjoy being snug in your beautiful home.
