Disney and Doggy Camp

Oh am I happy you dropped in! What a week we have had and I cannot wait to share a bit of it with you.  You know where the cups are by now, lets have coffee, okay? Even if it is 98 outside, it is cool in here. I have missed my Kona and DD coffee. I don't know what the brand was we drank this past week, but I know what it wasn't!lol  We had a wonderful time on our Disney celebration trip. We just returned home this afternoon, then I went on after Dasko. There were four generations and everything went as smooth as silk.  So many wonderful memories were created, not only for the children, but for the adults as well.I don't have a lot of pictures to show you of Disney in this post, but I will post a few later. I don't want to bore you, but I just have to share some.lol
Most of you know that I am very particular with my dog. Dasko is so special and I won't board him just any where. I drive an hour each way to take him to doggy camp! I have talked about Laura before. She is a petite lady who raised, handled, and showed rotties for years on the show circuit. Lots of people don't like rotties and some kennels won't take them. I want him happy when I am gone, so I choose to make the drive. Here is the view looking down at her kennel.
It is a beautiful place. When I turn down the drive, he stands up and looks out the window.
The kennels. They have a run area that goes inside. It is heated or has air conditioning. This part outside the run is fenced in too, so they can get lots of exercise.
See what I mean. She is so petite and those dogs do what ever she says!lol
The view from the kennels looking up the driveway. The kennel is connected to her home, so there is no crating. She is on premises 24/7(unless she is gone for a few hours. She does have a life.lol)
See, he thinks this is his kingdom too. You want to know the strange thing? Laura knew Dasko before I did. She is friends with the girl who gave him to me and she loves him. She gave me the most beautiful picture of him, that I will always cherish. So you see, when I am out and about, Dasko is too.  He had a bonus this week. One of his friends from when he lived with Renee' was there.
We made a two day trip out of going to Disney, as well as coming home. Mollie and Andrew were good travelers. Here we are getting ready to leave last Sunday morning.
Amanda, Mollie and Michael. I don't have a good one of Amanda's face, but will have some later.
Andrew buckled  up and ready. That is Lindsey, Curts fiance' behind him, and you can see Curts knee.lol Lindsey and I were room mates. I had a problem with her getting into my suitcase and losing my stuff! Just kidding. I kept teasing her everytime I couldn't find something about hiding it from me. She is a sweetheart and fits in with out family beautifully. She is a lot like Beth and Amanda and is  good with the kids. She certainly is a good sport. They get married in a few weeks.
Mollie is ready to go. She is so funny, now talking up a storm.
In her mouse ears. She also has some pretty pink ones. lol
We stayed at the Saratoga Springs resort in Disney. The bus picked us up and took us to whatever park we were visiting that day. I had been to Disney several times, but had never stayed on site. It was the way to go. We had a six day pass so we attended Magic Kingdom two days, Animal Kingdom one day, Epcot one day, and Hollywood Studios two days. I can't wait to show you some pictures later. Just wanted to touch base and tell you our Cancer Free, no more Chemo, celebration is over. If you remember this was planned so Amanda,Clay and the children would have something special to look forward to after chemo. It was Beth's idea and it came to fruition. Beth and Ryan flew down and back from Il. Debby,(the tropical storm) was there on Monday and Tuesday, but she didn't affect us at all. We would get caught in a downpour for 10-15 minutes, then the sun would come out and dry us(just like the Itsy Bitsy spider). It would be nice and cool, until the next shower. We would put our ponchos on then take them off.lol. The rain made it very pleasant. We missed it  the rest of the week when it was so hot. I am not a rider of rides, so while they rode I sat and waited, which I liked to do. I went to lots of shows, rode some things, and met a lot of interesting people. It was a special week filled with special people. We did a lot of laughing and a LOT of walking. I guess I didn't lose a pound with all of the miles I walked.lol
Well thanks for coming Through My Back Door, where life is good.
betty
PS:Andrew summed it up when he said Disney was a place where dreams come true. It certainly was for us.
PSS: I need to do a shout out to Lindsey. She took her nursing license board test last week before we left. Of course she passed.(smiling) Congrats Lindsey, we are all proud of you.
PSSS:Thanks for all of the comments about my eyes. I am so pleased with the surgery. I hope to have some new "tweaking" pictures to show soon. I have a few more trips coming up, but will be home for a while.
